Project Description:
LaGuardia Airport West Parking Garage is one of the largest parking facilities in the tristate area with a capacity of over 3000 cars under a single 7 level parking garage with precast roof.
Jersey Precast’s scope includes design, fabrication and erection of precast including ancillary trades. Design includes stringent seismic requirements it progressive collapse criteria in demanding soil condition. One of many interesting features of this garage is that it has no light walls and shear walls and all shear load is carried by specially design moment frames which are used for the first time at this scale.
