The utilization of NMB splice sleeves in the construction of columns at Rafi Cricket Stadium significantly expedited and streamlined the construction process, resulting in time savings, labor efficiency and technology advancement. The application of these sleeves did not necessitate any specialized training for the labor force, and they effectively reinforced column connections without the need for excessive steel bar overlaps.
This innovative approach was implemented in the construction of superstructure columns for a prominent cricket stadium, with individual structural elements ranging from 10 to 40 tons. The project encompassed a substantial quantity of pre-cast elements produced on-site. Remarkably, the project was successfully concluded within the stipulated timeframe and budget.
